techy, you running a 8800 for physx along side your 5970 then?

I might have to borrow my nvidia card from my HTPC to see if it makes any difference with my 4870x2; currently getting around 17260 with my cpu at 4Ghz

You got an SLi motherboard Rigger? You could shove both cards in?

Not many games use Physx, although I wouldn't mind trying out Mirrors Edge with it.

i know i can overclock the CPU Q6600 to 3.2ghz (2.4ghz stock)
and the graphics card can be pushed some too. but as it is i'm happy with my PC's performance in Bad Company 2 Wink i just wish i could spawn before the enemy sets the charge Evil or Very Mad

motherboard is a AS Rock AliveXFire-eSATA2 R3.0

As i understand it, that means i can put in 2 ATI cards, but not sure about putting 2 NVidea cards in. Same principle, but it dont say its SLi capable on the box, so im not going to try it. Techy - you got any ideas about this. I do know if i were to put both the 8800GT and the 8800GTX, i would need a new PSU. Only got a 570W PSU at the moment.

Any one got any ideas?

would need a psu upgrade i think matey. u have enough but stressing a psu too much and.....bang. and it usualy takes out more than just the PSU....

instead matey, hold off for a new base unit? their are some very nice bundles out their atm.
