hi guys, quick question...

whats a safe temp for my core to be running at ??? and what would be the maximum temp it could run?? its a intel core 2 extreme x7900.

curranty running at :- core 0 - 39C and core 1 - 38C

are your temps at 100% load, or at idle? (prob idle for a labtop?)

if you're unsure you can download the following program that will max out your cores and give you core temperature readings

OCCT

Have you got a laptop cooler?

That would bring down your temps if you're concerned

those core temps were idle mate, i ran a stress test (prime 95) temps reached 81C on both cores, that was clocking at 2.88ghz as opposed to the standard 2.33ghz.

just need to find a stability program. probley just clock it to 2.66ghz. i have thought bout cool matts, as the processor is on the under side so would benifit.
