O.K. as some of you know i work at the Fire Service College in Moreton in Marsh, which is a Training centre which supply variours coures for fire brageds, such as Fire behaviours, an USAR (urban search and rescue which was put together after 9/11)
My job roll is to service and repair the breathing appuratus that the students and instructors use. but sometimes they let me out to play.....like today!

so here i have a few pics and vids (if it works) of a couple of controled excercies we hold.
the first one is a Fire screen, which bascically consists of a massive gas fed wall of fire, with a control valve at the front. the objective is to funnel a wall of water to protect the fire fighters from heat and plames untill they reach the valve (which controls the gas flow) and turn it off to kill the fire. this teaches the students how to use water as a protective shield and also malipulate the fire to behave how you want it too....

The second of the two is the same objectice as the first , but this time its a gas leak from a broken flange. again they work as a unit to control the fire and protect then selfs from the heat!

i was wearing full fire PPE and you wouldnt belive how hot it was!!! thought my phone was guna melt!!!

hope you enjoyed this lil insite into my job.

That's an awesome job! The only pictures I have which are not thrilling at all is from our fancy dress red nose day at the office, I am a mere adminsitrative assistant in a boring office and our boss decided to centralise our office meaning I will be made redundant in June! Maybe I got a more interesting job to post soon haha! Very Happy

Chuck another cobber on the barby bruce!!

Nice pics (but the vids didn't work 4 me).

I am a removals salesman! involves walking round people's houses, estimating size of job, materials/resources required, then quoting/selling the job.. Alot more fun than it sounds! apart from driving around London all the time!

Good thing is, I get to see alot of famous ppl's houses!
Harry Enfield, Jason Donovan, Sting, The Queen, and a few others are our clients! (not got any pics though, think the customers would think it a bit suspicious to take pics of their stuff :p)
