Ok I'm looking to upgrade my graphics card within the next week or so. I just wonder if anyone has any recommendations so that I can turn up my settings a bit in game. Under like £100 is my price range. My motherboard is a A8N32 SLi Deluxe just for reference. I also have a 7950GT for sale after I get the new one if anyone wants to buy it...lol. Thanks in advance

as a quick response and through an ongoing experience i would advise you to stay away from the very attractively priced 8800gt if your motherboard had PCIe version 1.0a slot as this is not compatible with these new PCIe2 cards !

i will be able to give you more info on this later today if you are interested. Wink

i'm still having trouble with the XFX8800GT :S

While surfing to find a resolution to my problem i stumbled upon a website that has a PSU calculator which is something than may be useful when considering an upgrade.

Nice find Gen, looks like I have enough power to run the 8800 GT. I am also looking at the 8800 GTS as I am still unsure whether I will be able to run a 8800 GT because of the problems you have faced. The 8800 GTS is PCi-e 1.0, so I know for sure it will work.

You're telling me to wait a month!! lol...

Well I broke down and bought a monitor tonight. 22 inch Widescreen, some may kick me in the arse including me for buying a Dell monitor. But under $200 for a 22 inch WS thanks to the wonders of ebay, I couldn't complain. It is definitely a step up from what I have now. I will finally be able to use the DVI ports like they should be used lol. That should keep me happy until prices come down on the GFX cards...lolol
