With the idea of overclocking in my head I looked at my BIOS settings only to find a number are greyed out; the CPU speed, RAM timings, etc...

I'll obviously need to get access to these in order to start overclocking; any ideas?!?

Metal mentioned flashing or updating the BIOS? Confused

some motherboards do not allow overclocking Confused

best to see if a BIOS update is necessary

will need more info like:
mobo make; model; BIOS rev

i used to have a hewlett packard system .. and the mobo in that was outta date even tho the system was brand new...seems to be they use old stock to build new machines .. hope this aint the case for your mobo Confused

btw i found this on net .. seems like people having issues with that mobo when flashing it

are they greyed out because its set to auto? is there a manual setting so that you can adjust

Tried all the manual settings, tried pressing CTRL+F1, tried using a password and rebooting, no luck

Ho-hum, may have to invest in a new MB come pay day!
